A Laughter-Filled Weekend

One weekend in July we had a wonderful visit with our long-time friends Mark and Erica. They just moved to Nashville from Chicago and in the midst of a move and the start of a new job they graciously decided to come visit us!

Henry was just as excited to see Mark and Erica. He quickly made friends!



On Saturday, the five of us spent the day in Charleston. We ate at one of our favorite restaurants for brunch and then showed them the sights of the city. We spent a lot of time at the Battery which is a historic park along the Ashley and Cooper Rivers.

A Huge First

So recently we experienced another first in our home. I went away for a girls' weekend in Charlotte leaving Daddy and Henry at home! Trey had never had Henry by himself overnight and this particular weekend they were left alone for two nights! :-)

I felt so lucky to have some time away with friends. We shopped, layed out in the sun, slept in, relaxed by the hot tub in the evenings, went on a Riverboat cruise, and ate at some wonderful restaurants. I missed them both lots but came back relaxed and rejuvenated!

I think Trey felt equally as lucky to have a guys' weekend with Henry! They shopped at the hardware store and Toys 'R Us, ate "man food", spent hours at the zoo, slept, and watched movies.

"Time for you to go again Mommy! I want another guys' weekend with Daddy!"

What can I even say?!

So he has the TV, the gut, and the hands down the pants...now all he needs is the remote control, a recliner, and an ice cold beverage! :-)

A Fun-tastic Fourth of July :-)

We were so lucky to have Trey's parents come for a visit over Fourth of July weekend!

Henry loved every minute of having his BB and Granddaddy here! And so did Henry's parents! ;-)



After Little Man was fast asleep, the four of us sat out on our front lawn and watched our neighborhood fireworks. They were actually pretty incredible!
