Another Fantastic Weekend Getaway

I was able to get away for a weekend getaway to Knoxville to visit a wonderful friend, Camille and her beautiful family. We had a great time just spending the weekend playing with the kids and catching up!

Grace, her absolutely adorable 7-month old...

And Wyatt, her very funny, handsome 3-year old...

Thanks Luke, Camille, Wyatt, and Grace for such a fun weekend! I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with you!

Wheels, Wheels, Wheels

It is an understatement to say that Henry is obsessed with wheels...any kind of wheels. He loves to flip the stroller over and play with its wheels. And this entertains him for a LONG time so it is fine by me! :-)

Did you notice the beads he has around his neck? This kid is already ready for Mardi Gras! :-)

Best Buds

How cute are these two buds holding hands?! Here are Nolan and Henry chillin' while Josie and I eat lunch. :-)

P.S. Boys, don't tell your daddies we gave you pacifiers! ;-)

I love a good deal!

Does anyone else just love getting a good deal? I think I have probably become a little obsessed about it now that we are down to one salary. I get the Sunday newspaper just for the advertisements and the coupons. I get extremely excited when I save a couple of dollars on groceries. I love telling people that I got clothing at Walmart or Target when they give a compliment. Love it, love it, love it!

Well so yesterday Henry and I hit up a Fall/Winter consignment sale and I bought Henry 15 name-brand items for $60! And I mean name-brand that he probably never would have worn otherwise. To top it all off I didn't have to pay tax because it was tax-free weekend here in South Carolina! I just love consignment shopping for Henry's clothing.

And today, we went to Kohl's armed with a 15% off coupon plus another $5 off coupon. I bought Henry lots of long-sleeve shirts and two jackets. I bought myself sunglasses and an 11x14 frame. And I bought Trey a huge pack of new Hanes undershirts. The total came out to $60 again! Just the frame and the undershirts would have come out to $60 without the sales and the coupons.

Can you tell how excited I get?! If anyone has any tips on your money-saving techniques please pass them along! Man, I just love a good deal!

Absolutely Disgusting!

One day I cleaned out the refrigerator and threw away some old mashed potatoes. They were shoved in the back so who knows how long they had actually been in there. I was cooking and Trey proceeded to ask me where Henry got the mashed potatoes from. Yep, that's right. Henry dug a handful of mashed potatoes out of the garbage can and was shoveling them into his mouth! Now if I was a new mom I would have probably snatched them up and cleaned his hands and mouth. But now as a mom of a toddler son, I was horrified, then laughed, and then grabbed the camera! :-)

Can you see the handful?! He even left some on his chin! :-)

"Yum, yum, yum!"

"Mom, you are crazy! These potatoes taste delectable!"

Nope, never a dull moment around our household!

"Mmmm! Powdered Sugar Doughnuts!"

"By the way, why are you always taking pictures of me eating?!" :-)
