When he's awake, EVERYONE should be awake! :-)

"Wake up Daddy!"

"Time to play!"

Henry's Nine-Month Check-Up

Henry had his 9-month check-up today with the pediatrician. He weighed 22 lbs, 12 oz (87th percentile), is 29 1/4 in long (87th percentile), and has a head circumference of 46 cm (78th percentile). You can definitely tell that Henry is losing some of his baby chunk and becoming more long and lean. Well not exactly lean but leaner! :-) He received two vaccinations and had his big toe pricked so that his hemoglobin could be checked. As always, he did really well and passed all tests with flying colors! Although, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep him contained. He wanted to crawl all over the doctor's office (ewwww!) and fought us tooth and nail when the nurse and I were holding him down to get pricked. And I am sure that it is only going to get more difficult the older he gets!

Happy Birthday Pepere!

"I love you and hope you have a spectacular day!"

"Mommy and Daddy say that they agree! But between you and me, Pepere, they always agree with me!" :-)

He likes us.

Henry always seems to be right at our feet. He must like us! :-)

The drool keeps on coming!

No new teeth but Henry is still producing an insane amount of drool! :-)

Marathon Babyproofing

So now that Henry is moving and is moving fast Trey and I have really had to work on babyproofing the house. Henry will ALWAYS find the one thing in the room that we hadn't thought of...

like the blinds which have become a new fascination...

"Does this look like the face of someone who would do something that he shouldn't be doing?!"

A Walk in the Park

Columbia has three rivers that run through the city and there are some great trails that follow alongside these rivers. Sunday was a beautiful day in Columbia and Trey was off of work so we decided to take Henry for a walk.

"All that walking I did wore me out!" :-)

Adventures in the Country

Saturday night, the Residents' Auxiliary was having a function for all of the residents and their families at a farm called Country Adventures. We had so much fun!

Henry rode a pony! He had a huge smile on his face the whole entire ride! :-)

He kept trying to "pet" the pony but was really pulling his mane. I was nervous that the pony would buck Henry right off! :-)

We took a hayride around the farm. Henry's eyes were glued on the tractor tires the whole time! :-)

Henry got to pick out his very own pumpkin!

My favorite part was the roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate! Here is Trey roasting marshmallows with Chris, Thomas, and Andy...

"I love you now."

"I will love you forever and always."

"Happy, Happy Birthday Daddy!"

P.S. "Mommy says Ditto!"

Happy 1st Birthday Nolan!

Nolan, one of Henry's best friends, was celebrating his 1st birthday and invited all of his friends to a party! Since his birthday is right before Halloween, all of the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. It was hilarious!

"What are you laughing at?!"

The kids "pose" for the picture in their costumes...

Happy 1st Birthday Nolan! Thank you for sharing your day with us!

Go Gamecocks! Beat Them Vols!

The day after we returned from Nashville we tailgated at the Tennessee vs. South Carolina football game. Our friend Rob was in town from California for the weekend and we had a great time having him here with us! The day was beautiful and South Carolina won! YEAH!

"I'm liking this tailgating thing!"

Henry having a ball with Rob...

Henry taking a break from the tailgating festivities to sneak in a nap...

To make the weekend even better, our friends Chuck and Carrie stopped by for breakfast on Sunday on their way home to Savannah. Thanks Rob, Chuck, and Carrie for coming to Columbia! We miss you guys!

Vacation Time With Trey's Family

Enjoying the swings at BB and Granddaddy's park...

What are you playing Henry?

Jump-Jumperooin'...

Need to re-energize...time for a nap...

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Trey's parents and sister for watching Little Man so Trey and I could have a date night! We ate at Maggiano's (delicious!) and then went to The Big Bang, a dueling piano bar in downtown Nashville! We had the best time!

Vacation Time With My Family

We left from Knoxville to spend some time with my family and Trey's family in Nashville. We loved getting to see their beautiful new homes and to "sightsee" in their new areas of the city.

Celebrating birthdays with Uncle Tommy and Aunt Laura...

Henry, in his very own rocking chair, hanging out with Memere....

Lots of traveling and playing makes for a sleepy Little Man...

Family Time at the Tailgate :-)

Our happy family...

Trey, me, Tommy, Laura, Emily, and Reggie...

My family...Tommy, Laura, Matt, Lori, Dad, Mom, me, Henry, and Trey...

The Start of a Fabulous Week...

Trey had vacation all last week and we had a fun-filled week with him. We started off in Knoxville at a tailgate for the UT/Alabama game. It was Henry's first tailgate but it will be just one of many in his lifetime! Matt and Lori once again put together a great day for everyone and raised a lot of money for St. Jude.

We loved having the opportunity for our whole family to be together. The icing on the cake was that my cousin Emily and her husband Reggie were able to join us! Here is Emily with Henry...

Henry pulls up on EVERYTHING now!

He just learned that he can pull himself up in his crib.

This is how I find him in the morning now. As you can see, he is so proud of himself!

My Sleeping Baby

Henry's favorite sleeping position....on his stomach, arms tucked underneath him...

and his behind up in the air! :-)

Henry's First Election Day

Henry voted, did you? He and I patiently (for the most part) waited in line for 1 hour and 45 minutes. One of the workers at our voting location said that Henry behaved better than most of the adults! :-)

P.S. You can see his bottom two teeth in this picture. And also the drool dripping off of his chin! :-)

Happy Halloween!

"Rrribbiitt! Rrribbiitt!"

"Mom and Dad said I was too young for trick-or-treating but I did sneak a piece of candy while they weren't looking!"

Hope everyone had a Halloween filled with all treats and no tricks! :-)
