He did it!

Shortly after I finished the last post, Henry rolled over!! He rolled over from his back onto his stomach. I was changing his diaper and he rolled over to try and get to the wipes, of all things! I quick got the video camera out and he did it again except this time he rolled over and spit up all over the place! It is all captured on video for his future girlfriends to see! :-)

"I knew I could roll over Mom and Dad. I just didn't want to be a show off!"

He's so close!

Henry now sleeps on his side...precious! We cannot get him to roll over though. He is so very close but he is not interested whatsoever. I think he just wants to drive his mom and dad crazy a little while longer! :-)

Always Something New

We are always learning lots of new stuff about Henry and parenthood like...

It is now time to start buckling Henry into his seat. (This is how I found him after I left him for a few minutes to switch laundry out.)

He drools when he sleeps just like his Mom.

He likes to grab anything he can get his hands on now like your hair, nose, or tongue.

Henry's Elmo toy puts Daddy to sleep before Henry.

He LOVES his Pat-A-Cake teddy bear.

We are looking forward to learning many, many new things about you Little Man!

His Father's Son

Trey got up for a minute to dispose of Henry's diaper and when he came back he saw this...

Henry was just enthralled with the Cubs game. He is definitely a boy after his daddy's own heart!

Go Cubs!

Teething...Not So Fun!

We had to go back to the doctor this week because Henry was having some reflux issues. He now weighs over 20 lbs! The pediatrican gave us another medication to try. She also told us to start thickening his bottles with some rice cereal. Both seem to have helped quite a bit.

The pediatrican felt his gums and said they were swollen and primed and ready for his teeth to come in. Henry has become OBSESSIVE about chewing on anything that comes close to his mouth. He is now drooling buckets and usually both he and I are covered in drool by the end of the night. I still don't feel any teeth but I am on the lookout! Poor Henry is now getting pretty fussy in the evening and we are trying every trick in the book to help alleviate his pain. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!

His favorite chew toy...his hands...

Look at all that drool!

Celebrating another year...in Atlanta at the Peach Drop...

Sharing in the joy of others' marriages...at my sister's wedding...

Fun, fun times...at Mardi Gras in New Orleans...

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Thank you Mom and Dad for another fabulous visit! Henry absolutely loved all of the attention that you showered on him. He seemed disappointed to see just me when he woke up from his nap this afternoon! I explained to him that we had to share you with Will and Jack! :-)

Thank you for all of the gifts, for all of the help on the house (both inside and out), for painting the beautiful trays, but most of all for watching Henry so Trey and I could have a night out for our anniversary. We really enjoyed visiting with you all and look forward to the next time we will all be together!

I don't think the hat fits you Little Man!

Hanging out around the house...

Enjoying the music at an outdoor concert...

Again, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Happy Birthday Uncle Will!

We hope you are having a wonderful day! Hope to see you soon! Love you!

Henry would much rather eat the bow than wear it! :-)

Happy 4th of July!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend especially since Trey was off both Saturday and Sunday!

We met some friends on Friday night for fireworks. We were unsure how Henry would react especially since it was WAY past his bed time but he loved them! He just sat and stared and the noise did not seem to bother him at all. A huge thunderstorm rolled through just before the fireworks started but it was perfect because it really cooled the temperature down.

Saturday we did some shopping and started cleaning out our bonus room (a HUGE challenge). We did treat ourselves to an outdoor concert on Saturday night. It was perfect...Henry sleeping in his stroller, Trey and I enjoying the music, corn dog, french fries, funnel cake, and beer and THEN...a MASSIVE thunderstorm barreled through. Trey, Henry, and I had to book it back to our car and we made it just before the sky let loose.

Sunday was very relaxing. Trey and I took turns letting each other take naps while the other one entertained Henry. :-)

Henry and I absolutely loved having the whole weekend to spend with Trey. Henry absolutely wore himself out...

We hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July!

Henry and I appreciate you!

Trey has been working some very long hours lately. Henry and I know it is difficult for you to be away from us so much. We just want to tell you that we appreciate you working so hard for us so that we can have such an amazing life. We cannot wait to spend this weekend with you!

I caught Trey staring at a sleeping Henry for several minutes when he came home late from work this week.
