Family Pictures - Part 1

**UPDATE** Tara now has her photography website up and running so I wanted to share with all of our in-town friends. She is incredible! http://www.taralindleyphotography.blogspot.com/

Recently, Tara, a friend of mine, spent a couple of hours one cold afternoon taking pictures of our family. I have always admired her blog because the pictures she took were absolutely beautiful. I was extremely lucky that I was able to convince her to try out her amazing talent on us!

One of the things that I loved the most was that the pictures were not in a photography studio but at a local park. It truly showed Henry just as he is - shirt untucked, playing in the leaves. I had so many favorites that I had to use three posts for all of the pictures! :-)

Tara, we cannot thank you enough for doing this for us! We appreciate all of the time and effort you put into our pictures! We could not have been happier!

Family Pictures - Part 3

Have yourself a seat Henry!

No couch necessary for Henry to watch TV! He uses whatever is closest in order to have the best seat in the house! :-)

A block bucket (notice on the left that he dumped all of the blocks out first)...

A diaper box pulled right up so that he could point something out on the screen...

Residents' Auxiliary Christmas Party

Our kickoff to the Christmas season started with the Palmetto Health Residents' Auxiliary Christmas party. Trey was out of town so Henry was my date! ;-)

Henry was scared to death of Santa last year so I was pretty sure he was still not quite old enough to enjoy him this year. Henry was definitely cautious but took to him better than I expected.

Santa Clause trying to butter Henry up with a cookie and a stuffed reindeer...

"You gotta do better than that Santa! What else you got for me?!"

Henry would not look Santa in the face the whole time he was on his lap! ;-)

Nolan and Henry enjoying all of the Christmas goodies...

Reid and Henry were just fascinated with the train sweater Nolan had on...

Thanks Michele for another beautiful party! All of your hard work definitely showed!

Mommy's Little Helper

I am glad that he works for cheap! ;-)

South Carolina Christmas Tree Lighting

Trey, Henry, and I spent a fun evening downtown at the State House for the South Carolina Christmas tree lighting. We heard lots of beautiful music, heard our Governor speak, and of course...

...saw the beautiful Christmas tree being lit!

Thanksgiving Week

After returning from Baltimore, Trey, Henry, and I spent the week of Thanksgiving with Trey's family in Nashville.

We spent a day at the zoo,

read lots of books with Uncle Will,

did some drilling,

and got to spend lots of fun time with the family!

Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!

And thank you to Trey's parents for hosting us for the week! We were spoiled with lots of good food and great company!

My Snuggle Bug

Wedding Celebration in Baltimore

The weekend before Thanksgiving Trey and I were lucky to have the opportunity to spend the weekend in Baltimore celebrating a good friend's wedding. My sister and brother-in-law immediately offered to take on the huge task of watching Henry for the weekend. Since they do not have any kids, I am pretty sure that they had no clue what they signed up for but we could not have been more appreciative. They were, of course, absolutely wonderful to Henry and he enjoyed every second of the time with him!

And although we miss our Little Man when we are not with him, his Daddy and I definitely treasure the seconds we have away together as well! :-)

We were so excited that lots of our friends from Winston Salem made the trip as well! It is so fun just picking up where you left off with old friends!

Amy, Katie, and I....

Trey, Jay, Kevin, Mario, and Matt....

Travis and Roopa, thank you so much for letting us share in your special day! The ceremony and reception were absolutely beautiful and everyone had so much fun celebrating along with you. I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful life together!

"Dear Pepere,"

"Mommy is so sorry that she forgot to recognize your birthday on the blog! She was so excited that we got celebrate with you in person that it completely slipped her mind! Between you and me, I think she is the one that needs to wear a bucket on her head not me!" :-)

"Well here's wishing you a Happy Birthday Pere! We love you and cannot wait to see you soon!"

Clomp! Clomp! Clomp!

A Park Playdate

We are so lucky to have friends in Columbia that have children born 6 months or so either before or after Henry. And the crazy thing is that most of those friends had boys as well! That makes for some very fun playdates! ;-)

"WEEEEE!"

The closest thing we could get to a picture with all four quickly-moving boys! :-)

We certainly feel loved don't we Henry?!

Trey's Birthday Extravaganza

Okay well maybe less extravaganza and more relaxing and hanging out with Henry and me but still a great day I hope! ;-)

Trey is not a huge cake person so I decided to try my hand at pralines. Certainly not as good as my Memere's pralines (I don't think I could ever top hers!) but edible nonetheless.

Henry posing with the Birthday Boy...

Wish for something good!

Trey we hope that all of your wishes come true! You certainly deserve everything you could ever want! We love you!

Who needs pants anyway?

Who needs pants to stick their sword into when you can just stick it in the top of your pajamas?!

You are one silly boy Henry!

A New Sand Table Experience

Instead of just rolling his dump truck through the sand in the sand table...

...Henry decides to get in the sand along with his dump truck!

"Tables are for climbing onto anyway, right?"

Mommy's Weekend Away :-)

A couple of months ago I "ran away" for the weekend to visit my dear friend Lauren in Durham, North Carolina. I got to meet her very sweet boyfriend, see her beautiful home, cheer on North Carolina against Duke in football, spend some fun time with her family and friends, and laugh a lot together. And I enjoyed every minute of it! :-)

Thanks for a fantastic weekend Lauren! I look forward to another one very soon!

And while Mommy is away, her two boys definitely play! ;-) Trey took Henry to the zoo and to a trucks exhibit at our Children's Museum. Henry LOVED seeing all of the trucks until the demonstration of a race car starting up began without notice and then he was pretty much done with the exhibit!

He did come away with a really cool digger hat though! And he wears it all of the time! :-)
