At the end of May, Trey, Henry, Charlotte, and I took our first getaway as a family of four to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend. We were not sure what to expect since Charlotte was less than four months old, had never taken a road trip, and had never spent a night away from home. I am happy to report that our first vacation as a family of four was a success! Lots of fun was had by all! :-)
Our tradition is to always spend the first evening in Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the Beach. First stop...Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville for dinner!
Daddy and Henry showing off their fun, special drinks! I think Henry's was definitely a little less "fun" than Daddy's! ;-)
A balloon artist on stilts let Henry pick anything he wanted made out of a balloon. For the second year in a row, Henry chose a sword! :-)
Where was Charlotte, you ask? Hanging out in her car seat, smiling, playing with her feet, enjoying the atmosphere! :-)

Myrtle Beach Mini-Vacation (Part 2)
After dinner, it was time to feed the huge carp fish,
play in front of the fun house mirrors,
and of course we had to stop at the arcade for some games.
Henry did need some assistance with the pedals though! :-)
And last but certainly not least, Henry rode his very first carnival ride!
He thought he was hot stuff! Vroom, vroom! :-)

Myrtle Beach Mini-Vacation (Part 3)
Once again, Henry loved every minute spent at the beach. The weather could not have been more perfect....warm but with a nice breeze.
"Look Mom! I lost my hands!" :-)
Henry's absolute favorite part of the beach is the water. He loved to jump in the waves, let them knock him down, and then get up just in time for another wave. It was so much fun to hear him squeal in absolute delight! :-)
As Henry would say, "Time for a rest!"
And where was Charlotte, you ask? Lounging with Mommy underneath a beach umbrella taking in all of the new sights and sounds!
"Ah, this is the life!"
This IS the life! :-)

Myrtle Beach Mini-Vacation (Part 4)
We hit the jackpot when we happened upon this condominium. During my search, this one stood out to me because it had an indoor waterpark. I wanted to make sure we had a back-up plan in case the weather was not ideal. Well the weather was ideal but we were able to spend lots of time at both the beach and the indoor waterpark!
The absolute highlight of the waterpark were the two water slides!
"Let's do that again!" (We heard that at least 100 times!) :-)
Even Mommy and Daddy could have fun on the water slides! We would take turns going with Henry because literally we did the slides over and over for an hour or more! :-)
"That's a big splash Daddy!"
Daddy and Henry being "lazy" on the lazy river...
And where was Charlotte, you ask? She was having fun, people-watching in the Baby Bjorn with either Mommy or Daddy! :-)
