It's Springtime!

We finally had some warmer weather here in Columbia and Trey had a day off from work so the four of us headed over to a local park for some fun! It is a good thing we took advantage of our short Springtime because a couple of weeks later we are already experiencing summer temperatures in the 80s and 90s!

Daddy and Henry watching the boats and fishermen on the river...

Mommy and Henry taking a break...

Charlotte and I were strolling along the path and a snake jumped out at us! Just kidding about the jumping part but Trey said he was very impressed that I did not scream when I saw it! :-) Of course Henry thought the snake was awesome and we had to stand there and watch it until it completely disappeared.

No pictures of Charlotte because she slept in her stroller the whole entire time! She did not even wake up for all of the snake excitement! ;-)

Smile!

Our beautiful Charlotte started smiling at 6 weeks old. Trey, Henry and I cannot get enough of that sweet smile!

Now at 10 weeks old, she is really starting to coo and laugh out loud! The three of us are now are competing to see who can get her to laugh the hardest! :-)

One thing is certain though...she is definitely not starving for attention! We adore that sweet, chunky face! :-)

At first glance...

...this might just look like Henry relaxing on a porch swing on our own patio but...

...take a look again and it is actually Henry relaxing on a porch swing outside of Lowe's! I guess he needed a break from a stressful shopping trip! :-)

My 31st (Yikes!) Birthday

As always, I was completely spoiled by my two men on my 31st birthday! I enjoyed every minute of my time with Trey and Henry...

...and Henry definitely enjoyed every bite of my favorite cake...a Baskin Robbins peanut butter and chocolate ice cream cake! ;-)

And this year I got one of the best gifts a wife and mother could ask for...a trip to Hawaii alone with her husband!! :-)

Our Construction Worker

It is only fitting that Henry had some construction pajamas since he absolutely loves diggers, dirt, tools, and anything to do with construction!

Unlike most construction workers, ours doesn't build anything. He collects random stuff in a grocery cart...toilet paper, tool box, swimsuit bottoms, cars, and of course Bunny! :-)

Henry, I don't think pants are optional on the jobsite! Hahaha! :-)

I caved...

I always said that I would never buy light-up shoes for Henry. I don't know why they bother me so much. They are cute on other children and Henry thought they were great. And Trey wished they sold them in his size. ;-) It was just one of the many things that I told myself I would never buy for my child.

Well like with most of other things I said I would never do, I caved...

...and Henry absolutely loves his light-up Lightning McQueen tennis shoes! :-)
