"I am not sure about these Mom."
"Whoa! These boots are not made for walkin'!" :-)
"Good thing it never rains here in Columbia!"

Definitely Lacking Table Manners
A Little Boy's Dream Day
What could be better than getting to watch construction trucks all day long?! We have several homes being built around us and it is so much fun to sit outside with Henry and watch all of the construction going on! He says "Wow" a lot! :-)

Mommy's Little Helper
Henry likes to be my little helper when I am cleaning the house. I try to take advantage because I know there will soon be a day when he is whining at me when I ask him to do something! :-) He is still not a fan at all of the vacuum though!
Henry is a Swiffer Master!
Check out the Master at work!

Happy Birthday Aunt Lori!

I wasn't kidding!
I wasn't kidding when I said that Henry likes to climb on anything and everything. I took the trash out the trash can and he takes the can, knocks it over, climbs on top of it, and then jumps. He thought it was hilarious!
And you don't have to look closely to see little fingerprints all over the appliances. Our house will truly never be the same! :-)

Our Family Vacation, Texas-Style
So this year my side of the family vacationed in Texas. Unfortunately Trey is not allowed to take vacation in June but Henry and I decided to make the trip anyway. I knew that I would not be able to fly on my own with two pieces of luggage, two carry-ons, a stroller, a car seat, AND Henry. So we drove to Nashville and took a direct flight to Houston with the rest of my family. What a HUGE relief it was to have the help!
Jack and Henry playing in the airport...
Will laughing at the silly boys...
Henry and Uncle Tommy checking it all out...
I was most nervous about the airline flights but everything worked out perfectly. On the flight there Henry snacked, read, played, and watched a DVD. On the way home he slept most of the flight. I could not have asked for him to be any better than he was!
I do want to thank my family for all of their help not only in the airport but throughout the trip! There was no way that I would have been able to make this trip without them. It definitely was a group effort! :-)

Our Family Vacation, Texas-Style (Part 2)
We spent the first couple of days of our trip in Houston. We were there to celebrate the wedding of my cousin, John to his new wife, Jackie!
Laura, Tommy, and I were relaxing in the hotel room and we realized that Henry had run off and was being really quiet in the bathroom. When we walked in this is what we saw! Henry had climbed into the bathtub! You can tell that he is so proud of himself! :-)
Henry, the trouble-maker napping with his Uncle Tommy....
This was to be Henry's first wedding although Henry and I played outside with Aunt Lori, Jack, and Will while the ceremony was taking place. So really it was his first wedding reception. ;-) And it was beautiful! Henry really did well even though it was way past his bedtime. Aunt Laura walked him around in his stroller until he fell asleep. He did not even wake up for the cake!
Mommy with a very sleepy Henry...
Laura, Matt, and I enjoying the reception...
Congratulations John and Jackie! We could not be happier for you both! And we certainly feel lucky to have Jackie as a new member of our growing family!

Our Family Vacation, Texas-Style (Part 3)
After a fun-filled weekend in Houston, the family headed to New Braunfels, Texas (about 30 minutes from San Antonio) for our family vacation!
Unfortunately, Henry is very finicky when it comes to pools. He did not enjoy the condo pool near as much as I would have liked him to! Here are Henry and I on one of the few occasions he went in...
He did, however, love the push-ups that he was treated to! :-)
We all went in to San Antonio one day and enjoyed a little sightseeing. We ate lunch on the Riverwalk and then visited the Alamo. Here are Henry and I taking in all of the sights...
"Vacation sure is fun Mom! We should definitely do this more often!" :-)

Our Family Vacation, Texas-Style (Part 4)
One afternoon Matt, Jack, Henry, and I decided to check out the New Braunfels Children's Museum.
Henry, of course, had to touch every square inch of the museum like he does in any new environment. :-)
"Moooo cow!"
Jack helping to paint a Volkswagen Bug....
"Okay guys. I am outta here!"
"False start with the kayak. I am really outta here now!"

Happy Father's Day!
(Disregard the fact that I am only a month late!)
My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. --Clarence B. Kelland
"Happy Father's Day to my Dada, the guy who makes me laugh the most, reads to me the best, makes up games that are the most fun, makes Mommy the happiest. I could not have asked for anything better. I love you!"

Happy 1st Birthday Abigail!
He sure does have the meanest parents! ;-)
Oh boy! The temper tantrums have started! He screams, gets limp, and throws himself on the floor. And his Daddy and I think it is quite funny! :-)
Here he is mad because he wants to go outside even though it is bedtime. He threw himself down in front of the door in protest.
Life sure is tough, right Little Man?!

Truly Our Little Man
I have not done a post in a while that describes Henry's personality. You can tell from the pictures that he is growing older but his personality has grown quite large as well! :-)
He is ALL boy. He loves cars, trucks, bulldozers, tractors...really any vehicle with wheels. He loves balls. Henry's motto is definitely the dirtier, the better. He loves to babble on and on and on. (I think he gets that from his Daddy! Hahaha!) He uses anything as a telephone. He loves books but can be a little rough with them. (There have been several books I thought I was going to have to buy from the library!) He likes to sit in your lap when you read to him. He thinks it is hilarious to spin around and get dizzy, either on his own or in a chair. He loves to be outside even if it is 110 degrees. He loves playing in the hose, swinging, and going down the slide face first. He is obsessed with fruit but especially watermelon, strawberries, and grapes. His favorite vegetables are cucumbers, green peppers, and edamame (soybeans). For snacks, he loves raisins and pretzels. He does not like time out. He loves going up and down the stairs but he really loves sitting on the stairs and just talking. He loves "Wheels on the Bus" and "Itsy, Bitsy Spider." He is getting a little better at "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" although he completely bypasses the shoulder part. He loves to climb, anything and everything. He loves to dance at any type of music especially my cell phone ringtone. He has many expressions and each one is hilarious. He is shy at first but warms up quickly to strangers. He loves to clap, wave bye bye, give hugs and wet kisses, and blow kisses. His many words include up (his favorite), doggy, duck, mama, dada, bird, bye, and something resembling "there it is." He knows what sounds a car, cow, pig, and lion make. He is not so much into stacking things but he is very into dumping things.
His smile can light up a room and his laughter melt your heart. He is a complete joy and we are so lucky to have him as our son. We love you Henry!
