Mardi Gras 2010 (Part 1)

Henry celebrated Mardi Gras with king cake and Trey and I got to celebrate AT Mardi Gras IN New Orleans! :-) Not only were we going but lots of others were going as well...my brother, sister-in-law, several cousins and their spouses, and a few friends.

One of our favorite things to do is to watch parades...the marching bands, pom-pom boots, the beads, doubloons, crowds, kids on ladders, the waiting, the laughter, and the fun, fun, fun!

We were thrilled that Katie and Jay, friends from Winston Salem, joined us! There is always lots of laughter and fun whenever we are together. We only wish it could be more often! We miss you guys!



And we were also excited to have our friends Stephanie and Andy from Columbia come too! Neither had ever been to Mardi Gras (Stephanie had never been to New Orleans) so we had a blast sharing this experience with them! Plus, it is always nice to get together when we don't have our little munchkins taking our full attention! :-)
